How can it be that this child is turning 3 on Friday? No seriously, wasn’t it just yesterday that I was praying feverishly for him to arrive? And what a big blessing he was…all 12 pounds, 6 ounces of him.
If I haven’t already mentioned it, I simply adore this boy. I have the best time with him, and he cracks me up everyday with his funny quips, and hilarious antics. He’s also the sweetest, most loving little guy, very generous with hugs, kisses, and in the last month or so, winks!
He still loves trains, and anything else that moves. Trucks, cars, tractors, motorcycles, helicopters – he loves them all equally.
Sometimes, he’s a very serious young man. With this intense look on his face, he reminds me so much of his Dad.
His face isn't dirty - he has problems with the skin under his bottom lip getting chapped in the winter.
But he has a goofy, silly side too!
My big, soon-to-be-3-year-old.
I love you, my cookie-boy!

Wow, I can’t even believe he is three, that means I have been following you fun family for three years! I remember when you had him! Wow, time just really flies! Happy Birthday!!
Hi Heather,
I cant believe DJ is turing three. I recall reading your blog when you decided to have Number 3. What a ride it has been! I love hearing the funny things that DJ gets up to. Thanks for sharing with us.
I cannot believe its been three years!!!!! Where does the time go??
He is growing up beautifully! May God bless him always, every step of his life
Happy Birthday to DJ! I love the pictures and Thomas the Train. It reminds me of my boy who is now 13 and once upon a time that’s what life was all about…Thomas. Enjoy your baby boy….they grow up so quick! God Bless you and your family.
It’s been so much fun to watch this little man grow up. I have learned so much about how to be a good mom to my own little man (who also turns 3 soon) by reading your blog…everything from how to handle sleep problems to birthdays, activities, meals, organization, consumer information, etc. He’s adorable – Happy Birthday DJ!
My son, who is 2 1/2, also loves anything that moves. DJ is adorable! I love the first picture
Wow! I started reading you blog right before he was born! He is such a cutie
Love his pictures. Just a hint about the chapped skin….I used Lansinoh (the stuff you use when nursing) for my kids and it is amazing!! Best of all, safe if a little gets in his mouth. A friend of mine with severe dry skin and allergies started using it for a hand cream and said it works better than what her doctor was prescribing. Hope it helps!
Oh my jellybeans, that wink is too cute! What fun pictures!
Happy Birthday DJ!
Oh he is such a cutie!!!! I just wanna squeeze him!! <3
I’m still amazed at how big my 3yr old looks in his 3yr portraits that were “last week” it seems. He’s 3 and a half…solid. Another “week” and he’ll be 4! Those little boys always look so grown up after haircuts too, I couldn’t believe how big dj looked after that haircut post!
I love the winking shot too cute
