DJ’s Best Friend

by Heather on August 17, 2012 · 7 comments

In my summer scrapbook post, I mentioned that we bought DJ a pony ride at the zoo, and he named his horse “Best Friend,” which, you know….c’mon. Could anything be cuter than that?

I didn’t think so, until we bought him a stick horse at a garage sale, and he also named it “Best Friend.” And he loves it so much. This morning, I watched out the sliding door as he galloped happily around the backyard, stopping every now and again to pet and cuddle it.

This….this is why I always keep my camera on the kitchen counter, so I can capture spontaneous moments of unbelievable cuteness.

Now, we’ve bought a lot of stuff at garage sales, but I think the purchase of Best Friend might just be the best 50 cents I ever spent. This much happiness, contentment, and pure love…well you just can’t put a price tag on that.

No, that is priceless. No amount of money is worth that picture. Someday your grand children will love looking at these. I am a grandmother of 4. The grandchild love nothing more than looking at pictures of their father (I had only 2 sons) as children. ENJOY their child hood with them, it will be over too fast.

Love this. We just bought a transformer at a yard sale for 50 cents. My son had been saving up the $20 to the one at wal-mart. Looking online for instructions, found out this one is going for $120 on amazon. I thought of you :) I don’t think I’ll get the cuddly pictures, though.

Who told him it was OK for him to grow up? I have read since before you had him and it makes me a tiny bit sad he is so grown up already! I can only imagine how that makes you feel!
